Time has passed and Nude Gadget finally got his hand on the new Google phone, Nexus S from Samsung. This much anticipated phone comes in a troubled time when the market is oversaturated by smartphones, some good some bad and the worst like SE X8 … , but enough about that lets talk Google here.
The new generation smartphone from Google (in correlation with Samsung) has some goodies under the hood like:
- 4 “ Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that has 16Milion colors
- 800×480 resolution
- 1GHZ Processor ARM Cortex-A8 processor, Hummingbird chipset
- PowerVR SGX540 GPU
- 5 megapixel back camera with 720×480 (720p) video recording resolution + LED flash + 640×480 front camera
- Android Gingerbread 2.3
- Near Field Communication

And much much more, but these are the main points of attraction and I can tell you from now that SUPER AMOLED display surely captures the eye of even the most rigorous graphic artist. Its absolutely amazing pop-y colors brighten up the display and it’s a pleasure to just keep on watching it. Also the 1 GHz processor is powerful enough that you won’t feel any Lag from the interface … and YES being a Google phone it comes with the new Android 2.3 preinstalled and some other goodies from Google like full speech to text that actually works good.
Another bonus in the field of android phones is that Google will always provide you with updated for this phone always being the first that gets those upgrades; and this is a major issue due to the fact that more and more companies like HTC and Sony-Ericson discontinue support for older phones basically rendering you shackled to an Android 2.1 in the most nicest case (SE Xperia x10 even now doesn’t have support for 2.2 Froyo update … a year after it has been released) So that another thing to consider when buying for a new smartphone.
Here is what you get for the package:
